ARTIST STATEMENT
My work explores intersections of color theory, queer theory, craft theory, trauma, textiles, and correspondence. I am particularly drawn to textiles as cloth often self-documents its use. Cloth is a memory archive; with each touch, the cloth changes and records its own history. I like to touch my emotions; to wear these feelings on my skin and my heart on my sleeve.
Chris Kraus said, “every letter is a love letter” and I like to think of everything I make as a letter.
